Realtors Need Their Sleep!

By Edmund Bogen | January 05, 2o23

There is a common stereotype that successful real estate agents are constantly out networking and socializing, often seen at fancy events and late-night parties. While it is true that networking and building relationships are important aspects of the real estate business, it is not the only factor that determines success. In fact, there is evidence to suggest that realtors who prioritize their sleep and get up early may actually make better decisions than those who are consistently burning the midnight oil.

One study found that individuals who get a good night’s sleep are better able to make decisions and solve problems. This is because sleep helps to consolidate memories and process information, which can lead to improved cognitive function and decision-making abilities. In contrast, a lack of sleep has been linked to impaired judgment and decision-making skills.

In the high-stakes world of real estate, the ability to make sound decisions is crucial. Real estate agents must constantly evaluate properties, negotiate deals, and make recommendations to clients. An agent who is sleep-deprived and struggling to focus may not be able to make the best decisions for their clients.

Additionally, clients should not be fooled by agents who are always out partying and socializing. While networking is important, it is not the only factor that determines success in the real estate industry. In fact, some of the most successful agents may not always be the ones who are seen out and about at industry events. Instead, they may be the “nerdy” agents who are diligent, organized, and able to make sound decisions, even if they are not the life of the party.

At the Edmund Bogen Team at Douglas Elliman Real Estate, we prioritize our client’s needs and strive to get them the best possible deal on a transaction.
